| UBS, Ludhiana focuses on three main pillars of an Institute of Higher Education: to initiate knowledge (research), to transfer knowledge (education and training) and to broadcast knowledge (publication and advising). Research at UBS is recognized with teaching, training and advising activities. |
| Centre for Industry Institute Partnership Programme (CIIPP) aims to facilitate and develop research / advising at Panjab University and its regional centres, and establish world-leading research programmes. The centre has broad mottos namely: |
| 1 To bring industry closer to the academia and vice-versa, |
| 2 To make the curricula, particularly the technical courses more relevant to user, |
| 3 To generate resources in the form of industry supported projects and consultancy programmes, and |
| 4. To organise placement programmes on the Panjab University Campus and Regional Centres for the graduates of this University. |
